How much of my donation reaches the project?
Of your donation, 85% goes directly into the project work. This includes project expenses, monitoring and evaluation, as well as necessary local administrative costs. The remaining 15% is used for public relations, fundraising, and administration in Germany.

How are administrative costs financed?
As a non-profit organization, we must manage our administrative costs diligently. We cover a part of these costs through project-related contributions, where a certain percentage is allocated for administration. Additionally, we receive institutional funding from foundations and private donors who specifically support our operational and administrative structure. This enables us to maintain a stable and efficient organization.
Are my donations earmarked?
Your donations are tied to the purpose of supporting the humanitarian projects of the
ROOTS & BRIDGES
in the respective focus countries and regions (e.g. assistance to children and families in Ukraine, help for drought victims in East Africa, etc.). Your donation is therefore earmarked and can be flexibly used by us for the projects specified in the respective focus country or region. In this way, we ensure that your donation can be used where it is most urgently needed.
Is a purchase of a product/service automatically a donation?
No, because the purchase of a product or service is a paid transaction, whereas a donation is a voluntary contribution. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here.
