With the ROOTS & BRIDGES Legacy Fund, we are building a sustainable capital base that generates long-term returns, thereby continuously funding our Safe Parks, educational programs, and structures.

Why we are taking this path

Capital is invested worldwide. Pension contracts, life insurance policies, and bank deposits operate on the capital market. Banks also invest deposits and bank balances to generate returns.

Why shouldn't a non-profit organization use this instrument responsibly and strategically?

It is hardly possible to keep money in the system without it being part of the financial market. The decisive factor is not whether capital is working, but how consciously we use it.

With the ROOTS & BRIDGES Legacy Fund, we use the mechanisms of the financial system to finance social impact in the long term.

Our Goal

A core endowment will be built up as a reserve for our non-profit organization. Just as is the case with foundations.

Of your donation, 85% goes directly into the project work. This includes project expenses, monitoring and evaluation, as well as necessary local administrative costs. The remaining 15% is used for public relations, fundraising, and administration in Germany.
